Dr Manish Kumar Sharma is currently practising as an interventional cardiologist at Dharma Vira Heart Centre, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital New Delhi. His journey in Medical science began in 1995 when he joined MBBS at LLRM Medical College, Meerut. He pursued Post Graduation (MD -Medicine) from SN Medical College Agra (2002-2005). His career in the field of cardiology started in 2008 when he joined Sir Ganga Ram Hospital New Delhi through National Board of Examination and completed his super specialization (Diplomat of National Board) in 2011. For his academic excellence, he received BEST DNB Award in 2011.

In 2007, he successfully completed Post Graduate Certificate Course in Clinical Cardiology and Clinical Diabetes through IMA AKN SINHA Institute, Delhi. He was awarded Fellowship of Indian Academy of Clinical Medicine in 2010. In 2019, Dr. Manish joined GRIPMER ( Ganga Ram Institute for Postgraduate Medical Education & Research) as an Associate Professor. Due to his professional achievement, he was awarded MNAMS (2021) by National Academy of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.

He is expert in complex coronary angioplasties including rotablation under guidance of intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and optical coherence tomography (OCT). His forte is in ASD device closure, balloon valvuloplasty and implantation of permanent pacemaker (PPI), automated implantable cardioverter defibrillator (AICD) and Cardiac resynchronization therapy /Combo (CRT-D). He is also a part of core team of TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation).

He has been a part of many landmark trials which has changed the course of treatment in the modern medicine. He has also published more than twenty papers in Various National & International journals.
